How do you choose the right vibrator?

How do you choose the right vibrator?
Very regularly we get the question from customers whether we can advise them in choosing the right vibrator . Especially if it is the first time that you purchase a vibrator or sex toy, then we can well imagine that it is difficult to make the right choice from the wide range of toys. That is why we have made a handy step-by-step plan to help you make a choice.

Step 1: Vibrator on batteries or rechargeable?
My first piece of advice is to see if you want a vibrator that is rechargeable or if you want one that runs on batteries. A vibrator that is rechargeable is not only better for the environment, but often also quieter in use, of better quality and the service life is longer. You often pay a little more compared to a vibrator with batteries, but there is a good chance that it will last longer. For the above reasons, we at Intimitijd almost exclusively sell rechargeable toys.

Step 2: Size and shape of the vibrator
So many people so many wishes. Vibrators are available in all shapes and sizes. If you still have no idea whether a vibrator is something for you, you could start with a small vibrator. A mini vibrator can be used to stimulate the clitoris, but you can also use the vibrator on other sensitive areas of your body. For example, at the nipples or the inside of your thighs.

Do you want a vibrator where, for example, your g-spot (erogenous zone in the vagina), you can choose a larger, classic straight vibrator or one that is slightly curved at the top.
Among the special vibrators you will also find so-called 'bunny' or 'rabbit' vibrators that stimulate both the g-spot inside and the clitoris on the outside at the same time.

There are also vibrators that are just for clitoral stimulation. For example , Nomi Tang's butterfly-shaped vibrator . This vibrator stimulates the entire clitoris.

Fun fact: Did you know that the clitoris doesn't just consist of the visible 'button' on the outside of your vagina, but is like a butterfly through your labia?

Step 3: Material
Most toys today are made of soft silicone material. Here and there you can still find vibrators made of plastic. These are usually fairly cheap and that's how they feel (cold, hard plastic). Silicone material feels much softer on the skin and is therefore more pleasant to use. In our webshop you will therefore hardly find any plastic vibrators anymore. What you have to take into account is that if a vibrator is made of silicone, you cannot use silicone-based lubricant. This affects the material. Always use a water-based lubricant or a special lubricant for toys with silicone toys.

Step 4: Choice of different modes
Most vibrators have different positions. A simple vibrator often has one to three different positions. Somewhat more expensive vibrators sometimes have six to twelve different positions. For example, you can determine the intensity of the vibrations (from soft to hard), but also different vibration patterns. This way you can set what you like and how intense you want to experience your orgasm. This vibrator, for example, has 2 x 7 positions.

Step 5: Budget
Maybe it's crazy to end up with the budget, but it's especially important that you choose something that appeals to you and fits your needs. Vibrators are available in all price ranges. And as with many things, cheap is expensive. But sometimes it can be nice to start with a somewhat cheaper variant, because you often don't know what feeling it will give you and you don't yet know whether this product suits you or not. On the overview page of the toys you can sort by price, so that you can view the toys from cheap to expensive.

No vibrations but air pulses?...
The best and most appreciated toy at the moment is not actually a vibrator. This is a toy that does not stimulate through vibrations, but through air pulses. There are now several brands that offer toys based on air pulses, but the Womanizer is still a favorite. Some women do not like the vibrations of a vibrator or experience that this makes the clitoris less sensitive. The womanizer has a kind of cap that falls over the clitoris and does not touch the clitoris directly. Due to the suction effect, blood flows faster to the clitoris, which ensures excitement and ultimately an intense orgasm. Qualitatively a very good product and highly recommended! A slightly cheaper alternative to the Womanizer is Satisfyer 's Air Breeze Pulse .

Last tip
Most rechargeable vibrators are nowadays 'whisper quiet' as it is so nicely called. But also whisper quiet is still between 40-50 decibels. This is equivalent to a soft buzz or the sound of a refrigerator. Vibrators that you do not hear do not exist. If you find the sound of a vibrator distracting, put on some soft music in the background so that you are less distracted. Or pull the blanket over it, this muffles the sound a bit.
